TruGreen Giving Reaches a Major Milestone in 2020

TruGreen is proud to announce that 2020 marks our $1 million milestone of giving back to the local communities through TruGreen’s branch recognition and corporate giving program since 2014. This year’s winning branches were chosen based on their achievement for outstanding year-over-year customer retention.

The charity of choice for 2020 was the youth development program, First Tee. TruGreen provided an $80,000 donation to the First Tee Greater Philadelphia Chapter, one of First Tee’s 150 chapters, to support their Drive for the Future Initiative. With this contribution, the John F. Byrne Golf Club will be transformed into an innovative outdoor classroom, serving as the heart of First Tee’s educational and character development programs in northeast Philadelphia.

TruGreen also announced a new partnership with First Tee that will support the expansion of the First Tee College Scholarship Program to include applicants pursuing careers in agronomy, plant science and other science-based professions. With TruGreen as a Trustee, this new program enhancement will provide First Tee students with valuable opportunities to incorporate their devotion for golf into a career in science.

As part of our ongoing support with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, TruGreen customers raised over $70,000 for the hospital  through the TruGreen website. These contributions support the hospital’s mission to defeat childhood cancer and other life-threatening pediatric diseases.
