As an official marketing partner of the PGA TOUR and a trustee of First Tee, we were proud to host an exclusive experience for First Tee Tennessee participants at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis, TN, as well as the fan-favorite TruGreen Backyard activation for the second year in a row.
The TruGreen Backyard made a big comeback for fans this year! Located on the 18 Fairway, perched between the FanShop and the Hub, the TruGreen Backyard put fans right in the action as they watched the top 125 players from the PGA TOUR compete for a chance to win the first round of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. With comfortable seating in the shade, and an open invitation to grab a bite to eat and something to drink, the TruGreen Backyard left guests feeling right at home throughout the entire tournament.
Beyond the Backyard activation, we prioritized our partnership with First Tee, hosting in collaboration with the tournament, several local participants from the Tennessee Chapter to join in an exclusive experience. Local participants had the opportunity to engage with the PGA TOUR management team, PGA TOUR volunteers, and even get a behind-the-scenes look at ShotLink – the PGA TOUR’s revolutionary technology that captures and reports critical information on every shot, by every player, in real-time during tournament competition. In addition, participants received VIP access to the new and improved TruGreen Backyard.
“TruGreen is proud to partner with First Tee and PGA TOUR,” said John Cowles, President & CEO of TruGreen. “We’re honored to engage with fans and participants through events such as the FedEx St. Jude Championship right in our backyard. We’re looking forward to continued experiences through our partnerships with PGA TOUR and First Tee in the years to come.”
